Academic Collaboration

Student applications for collaborative research.

Applications are considered from students interested in collaborative research on thermal systems, heat and mass transfer, radiation, subsonic and supersonic flows, reactive flows and boundary layers.

Who can apply?

Senior undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students at Istanbul Technical University, Yıldız Technical University, Marmara University, Gebze Technical University and Middle East Technical University, or international universities in the eligible countries below, may apply.

Applications are primarily welcomed from Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Mathematics and Physics. Applicants from other departments are considered according to their connection to the research and proposed contribution.

Eligible international countries: Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, United States and Canada. The international option cannot be used for an unlisted university in Türkiye.

Background and skills

Strong theoretical foundations, research motivation and the ability to dedicate time regularly are expected. Describe relevant courses, theoretical/numerical methods and any project experience. Programming, simulation, meshing and geometry modelling experience are considered alongside your proposed contribution.

You do not need experience with every tool. Leave tools you have not used at their default level. Previous project experience is optional, but describing your contribution is required.

An application does not guarantee acceptance or a position. Self-reported information is assessed during review and discussion.
